Meeting August 30th – All invited!

What:  Meeting of the Winton Woods Achievement Boosters

When:  Tuesday, August 30th at 6:30 pm

Where:  Kemper Road Christian Church, 11609 Hanover Road, Forest Park

The Winton Woods Achievement Boosters is a registered non-profit organization that was formed by a board of nine community members with ties to the Winton Woods School District who wanted to help boost academic achievement in the district.  It is an independent group that is not part of the district administration, made up of alumni, parents, teachers, and community members, and its goal is “to help the Winton Woods School District raise student achievement, to recognize and support our student scholars and their teachers, and to tap community strengths to provide a foundation for student achievement.”

The Board of the WWAB has been in planning sessions for the past six months to establish a solid plan of action for the group, and in that time has launched a new math tutoring program at Winton Woods Primary North, with fifteen volunteer math tutors signed up to help during school hours for the 2016/2017 school year.  Plans are in the works to expand this worthwhile program to Winton Woods Primary South once the Achievement Boosters has approval from the Winton Woods district administration to do so.

After months of planning, the Winton Woods Achievement Boosters group is now ready for its first general meeting, which will be open to the public, on Tuesday, August 30 at 6:30 PM at the Kemper Road Christian Church, 11609 Hanover Road, Forest Park, OH 45240.  All Winton Woods parents, teachers, administrators, community members, and community stakeholders are invited. Please park in the front parking lot and enter through lower level in back of church, and follow the signs.

The Achievement Boosters are seeking new members, as well as volunteers for the math tutoring program.  All who would like to contribute to the new non-profit, either by volunteering their time and talents, or by sharing thoughts and ideas, are invited to the August 30th meeting.  For more information, please e-mail, or visit
